Very very very late post, given that it's already May =/

Anyway had a dinner and dessert date with Mich for her birthday! Drove us all the way to Buona Vista area to eat at La Nonna and we didn't get lost! I think. I can't quite remember but I know no mishaps happened hahaa. Food and service were good, place was really cosy and laidback, perfect for catching up!



Headed to Antoinette (the Lavender one) for desserts! First time there for both of us and we were overwhelmed by the variety of sinful desserts

Next up- April birthdays!

So the 1st year of my uni life is over and I thought I should probably do a recap on Sem 2! Was so much more hectic than the 1st semester but got used to it after a few weeks, and I had the fortune of being granted awesome project mates who made things so much more fun =]

Psych! Did a documentary on superstition and we were nominated for the 'Oscars' hahaha our prof is hilarious. Had a lot of fun filming too haha did so many stupid things gosh, I even acted as a CPW lol. Probably the most enjoyable class I had this sem because the content and her presentation style were interesting! Definitely gonna major in it =D



Pol sci! How to put this... the prof's style of teaching takes some getting used to, but other than that it was pretty fun, loved our presentation hehe we pretended to be professor / karl marx / baradat / communists!



Creative Thinking - one hell of a fluff module and brought so much @#$%^&* angst to all of us argh. But it was made bearable cos of the grp mates hahaa somehow meetings will be full of laughter and non-stop jokes at each other's expense lol. And that's our 'creative' sandwich! One thing I learnt is that some things don't need to be completed early, especially fluffing. Our group was way more produtive when we rushed the last project compared to the earlier projects lol



BGS ( business government and society) - Personally thought the class was interesting, I quite liked the readings though I did not always have the luxury of time to finish reading all =/  Did a case study + proposal on shark finning and it was quite smooth-sailing cos everyone was so efficient! And I'm now officially against consumption of shark fin soup. Prior to this I didn't really see the point of drinking shark fin soup but continued doing so because it was a once-in-a-blue-moon thing. But after all the research (gory videos, hard facts etc), I really can't bring myself to eat it anymore. Could go on and on about the merits of doing so i.e. it's the broth that tastes nice not the fin, and it isn't even nutritious!!! Ok more about it another time



Econs! Our prof is so grandfatherly that he is forgiven for zooming through the syllabus haha. Seriously, he is so affable and jolly, you'll just laugh at his jokes even if they aren't funny



CCAs~~~ Don't know what I'll do without them, school life would be such a bore if I didn't have any! I'm getting more and more addicted to muay thai. Have never felt so challenged and invigorated by a sport before, and I'm learning so much about how the body works and moves, it's amazing how a slight shift in posture can give a totally different result. Love the adrenalin rush, the flood of endorphins after each training and the sense of accomplishment. Gonna train harder!!



Runteam - what I look forward to every Friday afternoon!  We've been to Fort Canning, MBS, Old Airport Road, Mount Sophia and all around! What's even better is that the company is fantastic, everyone is so friendly and it really makes the journey even more meaningful =] Definitely a great change from my usual runs in the gym haha



Latest bday surprises for Zul and Terna!! Haha was great fun and a good break for studying + chance to catch up!



Random pieces of school life - another thing I like about SMU is that there's always something interesting to spot around the area. Was walking towards SOT one day and chanced upon the art installation above the Queen street building. Looks pretty creepy but interesting. It's still there if i'm not wrong, and the story behind it can be found right in front of FFT =]
I like the Superman one too! If I'm not wrong it was titled - superheroes can't save us.



Favourite food - oyako don frm kopitiam and my daily apple ~



Dating life during this hectic sem = 0. Nah not really, we manage to meet every weekend just that most of it was spent with me studying and him playing computer games / sleeping lol. Made it a point to exercise together too!

New Asics at a cheaper price thanks to Wh's voucher whee~. Asics makes me feel like i'm walking on pillows or clouds haha.

Surprise sunflower and visit the day before my exams :') Really really thankful for your understanding and making me laugh whenever I felt stressed during the exam period <3



Best part of the study week? Having more time with the family and eating lotsa homecooked meals, prepared with love by ahma and sometimes papa =] And abundant supply of fruits and cereal every day thanks to mummy =]=]



I honestly can't describe how good it felt, to stay at home and enjoy the little things. Waking up early and seeing mummy and papa practicing taichi or pottering around in the garden, being home alone on some days, watching mummy create more awesome handmade stuff, studying and hearing the sound of cooking in the kitchen, knowing that the whole family will be home soon, playing with leiya and zejun, even if it was for a short while...  Study week was fruitful in more than 1 way and I'm really thankful for it =]



Time flies or maybe it somehow teleports, can't believe it's been a year! I hope I'll never stop learning and being thankful for all that I have.

THINGS I AM GOING TO DO / WANNA DO FOR THE 4 MONTHS OF SWEET SWEET HOLIDAYS:

- read and read and read!!! it has been so long!
- learn how to use my new cam!
- learn to cook more dishes!
- learn hokkien!
- go for AW LP108!!

- and of course, followed by shopping heh
- upload the long overdue photos!
- train my ass off whee
- pick up new sports - thinking zumba / yoga, or maybe back to pole
- spend lotsa time with family and wh!
- catch up with friends!
- do lotsa DIY crafts e.g. so many funky ideas for bracelets on pinterest!
- explore parts of SG i never went before!
- run at the beach and go back to DHS to run on the track hahaa
- work at Food For Thought / other interesting jobs!
- go overseas!! (hongkong with th, taiwan with mummy aunt and cousin, phuket with muaythai mates!)
- and more~~

We kinda celebrated Valentine's Day twice this year haha

This was the pre-Valentine's day surprise by me =D Decided to cook a meal by myself (first time!) and am really happy it went well hehe. It was a pretty simple meal tho, will do more cooking and improve my budding culinary skills when the holidays come around!



Happy boy =D Assured him that me cooking meals is not a one-off thing because I know how much he loves home-cooked food. Looking forward to more cooking adventures together =]

Other than putting a name to the day(s), treating ourselves to a good meal, there wasn't much of a difference for our 2nd Valentine's Day together, in a good way. Every weekend spent together is cherished and I guess you could say we're still very much in a 'honeymoon' stage, but weihong would beg to differ because he feels that this is the way it ought, and will always be for years to come. Can't disagree with that =]

We've known each other for half of our lives, yet there's always something new to love, to learn about, and from each other. Feels like there's no limits to the love we can give and receive. And with every little thing, I'm all the surer that this is the one person that I want to spend the rest of my life with.  Love you always, my sunshine =]

So yep, kicked off February with an in-class celebration for Freda! =D Happy 20th old friend, old as in, i-have-known-her-since-primary-school-'old' hahahaa. We are forever young! Our cute econs professor wrote on the board just for her aww

Hellooooo this is way overdue!!! Have a long list of events that are backlogged and I decided that weihong deserves this post first hahaa. Must give credit to him for working really hard for the 9 months and successfully overcoming all obstacles to become an officer =D And also because this happened in January oops

Comms Ball! Or, in other words, Prom Part 2 literally. We didn't change any part of our prom attire except for my shoes I think haha.



He insisted on having a 'likeaboss' picture, and yes I'm supposed to be some adoring fan. Hm can't quite deny that I am cos he's really everything to me <3 Oh and they had PHOTOBOOTH!! Best attraction of the night, there were long queues but really worth it!



Fooling around with the props like the clown he is hahaa. I <3 the 2nd picture, such an apt expression HAHA. Though the truth is that holding hands is no barrier to shopping

The comms ball was tons better than social night, possibly because the stage games were pretty amusing + the photobooth cures boredom and there were a lot more conversations to engage in. Oh yeah the stage games were, at some points, super risque hahaha I don't even know how they got away with it seriously!! Think lap-dancing on their superior 0.o And no, weihong didn't do it but he did do his usual wannabe krumping moves haha. The emcee commented- 'that guy's phone vibrator so strong ah?' Lol. So a lot more laughs + familiar company = pretty fun night!

So life has been great for him so far after commissioning! Unfortunately, now that he is relatively more free, I am not =[  This term has been so crazily hectic that we spend most of our weekends with me studying and him playing computer games. Or exercising. haha. But nothing much has changed, it's still a great joy to be together on the weekends and I'm really blessed to have such an understanding boyfriend <3

Oh yes other than being a full-fledged officer, wh is also the sweetest guy ever!! Was down with the flu + fever and he brewed chicken soup for me, came down to SMU and surprised me :')  Couldn't help but tear because I was so touched by this. The grinning boy in front of me, the hot bowl of soup, the warmth bubbling in me... love presents itself in the simplest of moments.



Feeling all sentimental now but the BGS readings I have to do right now is such a mood dampener damnit! Off I go, next update will be either vday / all the feb bdays / march bdays / many more things that I want to remember forever =]
